Death Row Last Words
What would your Death Row Last words be? If you had one minute to say your last words before the lethal injection took your life, what would you say?
ABC news ran a story called “Death Row Last Words: Man Proclaims Love of Family, God in 9th Texas Execution of Year. It is very interesting to see what these convicted criminals said to their family or officers carrying out their punishment.
Without revealing names and crimes here are the last words of some Texas criminals.
When I close my eyes, I'll be with the father. God is everything. He's my life. Tonight I'll be with him. I don't know what you're going to be feeling tonight. I pray we'll all meet in Heaven."
"Billy, I love you, English, Hart and Eloise. Dwight, take care of Dwight. I'm going home, I'm going home. I'll be all right, don't worry. I love ya'll. God bless and the Texas Rangers, Texas Rangers.
Bohannon, Peg and Kim, I love ya'll. Son, get your life right with Christ, also your mother. Give mom a hug for me and tell her that I love her. Reading these last words has made me think about who is important to me, what is important to me and what I would say if I knew I had just a few minutes to speak before I died. I’m not yet finished processing my last words but a few of these have made me wonder if I should throw in a “how ‘bout them Dawgs” or “Go Braves!”
